Setting Up

Now it is time to put all our work together in front of the general public for the first time, how scary.

Hope you like it.

New Colours

Working with mainly different blues, black, gold, cream and brown for my final year work. I have also chosen to work with cashmere to represent the softness of the bird's plumage.

Display

For the display I hope to have something simply but effective to show off the fabrics which I have produced. Thinking along the lines of wood but this may change, I would like to try and keep it contemorary if I can.

Toast Company

I like the way in which the company Toast put together their products, so it would be really nice to do something contemporary similar to their style.

Some really nice textures in her work fininshed off with the

Stroud Vist

Had a really nice day out on Saturday at Stroud International Textiles Symposium 2013, having never been before I did not really know what to expect. It was so nice to meet all six speaker at the event and the fact that they were all weavers was a great inspiration. The speakers at the event were :-  Philippa Brock, Laura Thomas, Nadia-Anne Ricketts, Deirdre Wood, Tim Parry-Williams,
Eleanor Pritchard and Helga Matos. What did come across to me was the fact that they all seemed to find a connection with weave in some way in what ever project or theme which they were working on.This is something I will hope to take forward in my own future projects.
